Time-Lapse Tuesday: Bangkok's River of Kings

It’s Tuesday, so it’s “time” to “lapse” it up! (See what we did there?) Each week, we’ll share a new way of looking at this big blue planet of ours. While a photo does a great job of capturing what we see with our own eyes, a time-lapse reveals just how little the eye can see. Come aboard with us as we explore the trade route of Bangkok’s River of the Kings.

Although the Chao Phraya River sees much of its action in Bangkok, its tributaries reach as far as northern Thailand. In the north you'll find rice patties replacing the swamplands that once surrounded much of the river, while in Bangkok it's much more of a highway than a waterway with long-tail boats and ferry companies helping with the city's congested commute.
