High above the bustling cities of Bangkok and Chiang Mai, the mountain ranges in Northern Thailand are home to a number of different hill tribe groups. While collectively they make up only a small percentage of the population, they're an important key to understanding Thailand’s rich culture. Often preferring to live remotely, many groups –– such as the Red Lahu people –– maintain their traditional ways of living and have continued to use those practices to this day.
